About Us

We've been called "one of those best kept little secrets", but something this good doesn't stay secret for long. Each day brings new as well as regular shoppers, all amazed at the extremely low prices. The Cheap Chick sells only donated items and gives all proceeds to the Southeast Seattle Senior Center. So when you buy one of our well-priced treasures, you are contributing to programs for seniors, such as weaving, line dancing, and computer training.

Our Crew

Almost every staff person at the Cheap Chick is placed through the AARP work program. Manager Kate Harkins is an artist, thrift store aficionada and was a social worker with homeless adults and families for over ten years.
